Uniting two transit systems
Connecting WMATA and Baltimore Link
Bronze line service will eliminate the hurdles to transfers between existing intracity transit and intercity commuter rail. Fares would be paid via SmartTrip or CharmCard. The line would appear on both Baltimore and Washington transit maps as an additional line alongside metro and light rail. The line would be woven in to both. No longer would users be required to find another app, look up timetables, understand another payment system. The additional fees for riding a separate system would be eliminated. Just as with the successful London overground and The Elizabeth line into the London transit system, the Bronze line will be integrated into the physical and mental transit maps of riders in both Baltimore and Washington.
